Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a retail associate in Gainesville, FL. You will deliver a highly satisfactory customer experience, engage customers, and keep a clean, well-organized store environment while adhering to standards across operations, merchandising, and loss prevention.

You may work in multiple areas to support business needs, promoting credit and loyalty programs and handling purchases, returns, and safety processes. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows procedures.
• Processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following procedures.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and store-wide areas.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
