Job summary

Luxor Healthcare in Ballwin, MO is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapist to provide patient care and assessments per physician orders and the plan of care created with the evaluating therapist. You will document progress and contribute to discharge planning, while working within facility standards.

You will collaborate with the care team, educate patients and families, and apply a range of clinical techniques to diverse patient populations. A current PT certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Physical Therapist certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/client care and assessment in accordance with established practice standards and facility/departmental policies.
• Provides care per physician’s orders and plan of care developed by evaluating therapist.
• Takes measurements of patient/client status, within licensure limits, to assist in assessing care effectiveness.
• Maintains communication with the evaluating therapist to promote maximum benefits from therapy and summarizes performance.
• Implements education plan outlined by the evaluating therapist and provides education to meet patient needs.
• Follows discharge plans and assists with discharge concerns and goal reassessment.
• Communicates with patient, family and healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care.
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of clinical techniques and modalities for the populations served.
