Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to provide coverage for a minimum of two weekend days per month, with opportunities for additional weekday shifts. The role includes evaluating patients, developing and adjusting plans of care, and collaborating with physicians across the continuum of care.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech Pathology, is licensed as an SLP, and maintains BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• SLP license required; BLS certification required (or BLS-Instructor).
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Responsibilities

• Implements the speech language therapy treatment plan.
• Establishes and revises plan of care with patient and/or family input.
• Documents evaluation and plan of care according to departmental guidelines.
• Completes discharge instructions and referrals to community resources as appropriate.
• Acts as referral source for staff and physicians on rehabilitation services.
