Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. Grovetown, GA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the acute care team on PRN Days.

The role involves evaluating patients and developing speech/language plans of care across speech, language, voice, cognition and swallowing in collaboration with physicians. You will document evaluations, adjust treatment plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate discharge planning while keeping to regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Masters in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current SLP license/certification.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the speech language therapy treatment plan.
• Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate plan of care for speech, language, cognition and swallowing.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per departmental guidelines.
• Provides patient and family education and discharge instructions.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical standards.
• Participates in staff meetings and ongoing education.
