Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN opportunity at Autumn Lake at Union in Union, NJ. The role offers flexible PRN hours and a chance to help residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing with a collaborative rehab team.

The ideal candidate holds an NJ license and a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology; new graduates are welcome. Competitive pay: $50–$55/hour.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• New graduate Speech-Language Pathologists are welcome to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide skilled interventions addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and safe swallowing strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with nursing, therapy staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
