Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function to identify treatment needs.
Establish individualized goals that reflect residents' abilities, preferences, and rehabilitation priorities.
Provide interventions that support expressing needs, understanding information, memory, and functional problem-solving.
Deliver clinically appropriate dysphagia treatment and coordinate swallowing recommendations with nursing and dietary staff.
Teach residents, families, and caregivers practical strategies to use outside treatment sessions.
Document evaluations and progress, adjust care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning.
$55–$60 per hour.
