Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, NC seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to provide as-needed respiratory care to residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

The PRN role offers scheduling flexibility while you apply expertise to support residents’ comfort, safety, and well-being through assessments, treatments, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualificações

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.
• Current North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license is required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate residents’ respiratory function and monitor response to treatment.
• Perform respiratory assessments including oxygen saturation, breathing patterns, lung sounds, and airway function.
• Provide prescribed treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, inhaled meds, and airway clearance techniques.
• Operate and monitor respiratory support equipment (CPAP/BiPAP) per orders and protocols.
• Identify changes in respiratory status and notify healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate respiratory services with nursing staff and other care team members.
• Explain treatments and equipment use to residents and families.
• Maintain documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Ensure respiratory equipment is clean and inspected per safety protocols.
• Assist with emergency responses within scope of practice.
• Participate in care planning for residents with complex needs.
