Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, NC seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a PRN role. Provide as-needed respiratory care, assess needs, and implement prescribed treatments to residents in our skilled nursing and rehab setting.

You will work with nursing and medical teams to ensure comfort, safety, and quality outcomes, including oxygen therapy, ventilation support, documentation, and patient education. Competitive PRN pay and flexible scheduling offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license.
• Current NBRC credential (RRT/CRT).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate residents’ respiratory function and monitor response to treatment.
• Perform respiratory assessments incl. oxygen saturation, breathing patterns, lung sounds.
• Provide prescribed treatments (oxygen, nebulizers, inhaled meds, airway clearance).
• Operate respiratory support equipment (CPAP/BiPAP) per orders.
• Identify changes in status and notify healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate respiratory services with care team.
• Explain treatments and equipment to residents/families.
• Document assessments and outcomes.
• Maintain equipment per safety protocols.
• Assist with emergency responses within scope of practice.
• Participate in care planning for complex needs.
