Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams under Radiologist supervision. You will prepare patients, verify identity, and document histories while coordinating daily workflow and clerical duties.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiologists. ARRT-recognized education and BLS certification are required, with potential for growth within a major health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
