Job summary

Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare in Norwich, CT is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity. You'll provide treatments under a licensed Physical Therapist and help residents improve mobility and independence.

This flexible role welcomes new graduates and emphasizes resident-centered care, teamwork, and clear communication within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. You will work in a supportive environment offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility.
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT.
• Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team.
• Reinforce safe movement techniques and mobility strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

$35–$40/hour | PRN

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare. This flexible position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys hands-on rehabilitation and helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.

What You'll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT
• Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team
