Job summary

Balanced Healthcare in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an in-house rehab team at a busy skilled nursing facility.

You will perform skilled PT treatments under supervision, support mobility and functional independence, and manage a high-volume caseload in a therapy-driven environment. Active Florida PTA license and graduation from an accredited PTA program are required; SNF/LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA License required.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.
• Strong time management and clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience with high-volume caseloads is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under PT supervision.
• Improve patient mobility, strength, balance and functional independence.
• Treat a high-volume SNF/LTC caseload.
• Perform gait training, transfer training and fall prevention interventions.
• Document treatments and progress using Net Health or similar EMR.
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs and nursing staff.
