The role offers 8- and 10-hour shifts with start times at 0700 or 0800, emphasizing risk screening, medication reconciliation, and coordination of diagnostics to ensure safe, streamlined patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with Texas eligibility within 90 days.
• Current BLS and ACLS preferred.
• 1 year of clinical Pre-Op/PAT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care per department standards.
• Collaborate with providers and care team to ensure optimal preoperative preparation.
• Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes through chain of command.
• Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and performance improvement activities.
• Plan patient and family teaching while respecting privacy and cultural values.
