HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX seeks an RN to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will support pre-admission, perform pre-operative assessments, assist with lab work and EKGs, and engage with the care team to ensure outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or BSN preferred.
  • Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with Texas license within 60 days of hire.
  • AHA BLS certification is required.
  • 1 year of Pre-Admission Testing experience as an RN.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:
  • You will be assume responsibility for efficient patient flow throughout the pre-admission process.
  • You will perform pre-operative assessment of patients in a timely manner.
  • You will assist with lab draws and performance of patient EKG's as need on the unit.
  • You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
  • You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
  • You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date).
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
  • 1-year of clinical Pre-Admission Testing experience as a licensed RN required.
