Job summary

Paris Regional, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Pre-Admission Testing team in Paris, Texas. The role performs pre-operative assessments, coordinates required testing, and ensures patients are prepared for surgery, collaborating with physicians and anesthesia providers to support readiness and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required and associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Active Texas RN/LVN license (single state) or compact required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
• If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new PSOR.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and specimen collection.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Educates patients and families based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
