Job summary

Hope Therapeutic Services is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Wrentham, MA to support licensed Physical Therapists in providing rehabilitative care for adults with developmental disabilities. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to contribute to patient mobility, strength and independence in our clinic.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with patients and teams.
• Ability to work independently in a PRN role.
• Empathy, patience and adaptability when caring for varied patient needs.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and safety procedures.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility and transfers while maintaining safety.
• Lifting, transferring and assisting patients as needed.
• Flexibility to cover shifts as required; hours not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Therapeutic Interventions: assist the PT in carrying out therapy plans.
• Program Implementation: execute exercises for strength, flexibility and balance.
• Documentation: maintain accurate patient progress records.
• Collaboration: work with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care.
• Patient Education: guide patients and families on exercises and home programs.
• Mobility Support: assist with transfers and use of mobility aids.
• Patient Advocacy: promote an environment of empathy and respect.
• Compliance: follow HIPAA and regulatory safety guidelines.

Education
