Job summary

Hope Therapeutic Services (HTS) in Wrentham, MA is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our PRN team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative care to adults with developmental disabilities in our clinic.

The position offers flexible scheduling based on patient needs and department requirements. You will assist in implementing personalized therapy plans, promote mobility and independence, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• PTA license (Missouri) and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with therapy plans and exercises to help patients reach functional goals.
• Implement therapy plans including strengthening, flexibility, balance and coordination exercises.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment changes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, home programs, safety and devices.
• Assist with mobility and transfers during sessions.
• Advocate for patients and ensure individualized care.
• Follow HIPAA and regulatory guidelines for confidentiality.
