Qualifications

• OTA licensure required in state(s) of practice.
• Licensed as Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
• NBCOT certification preferred for Sanford Health facilities.
• May require valid driver's license.
• BLS certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Provide, monitor and record therapy services to patients/residents/clients with various impairments, in line with standard concepts and procedures.
• Select, implement and modify therapeutic activities and interventions aligned with competency levels, goals, and licensure requirements.
• Communicate patient responses to and documentation for the occupational therapist regarding interventions.
• Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and perform other related duties as requested.
