Job summary

The Devine-Health- in Texas is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. You will provide person-centered care to residents, implementing therapy plans under the supervision of an OT and collaborating with the care staff to improve independence and quality of life.

This PRN position offers flexible scheduling, SNF experience preferred, and opportunities to work with a dedicated team using Net Health documentation.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
