Job summary

BrightStar Care in Crowley, TX seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to deliver one-on-one OT services in patients’ homes across the Crowley area. You will develop individualized plans to promote independence, safety, mobility, and overall quality of life.

You will evaluate functional abilities, implement interventions, and educate patients and caregivers while documenting progress and coordinating with the care team. Flexible hours depend on patient needs and availability.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Texas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
• Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients’ homes throughout the service area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, limitations, and needs related to daily living activities.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each patient’s goals and needs.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
• Assist patients with ADLs and IADLs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety strategies, exercises, and techniques to promote independence.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Document visits accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with physicians, caregivers, and the care team.
