BrightStar Care in Lavon, TX is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to deliver one‑on‑one home health services. You will evaluate, treat, and guide patients and families to promote independence and safety in daily living activities.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, travel to patients’ homes, and set visits based on availability. This role offers flexible scheduling for supplemental income and professional flexibility.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Texas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
• Proficiency in English.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients’ homes in the service area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs related to daily living activities.
• Develop individualized OT treatment plans based on patients’ goals.
• Provide therapy to improve independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
• Assist patients with ADLs and IADLs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety, exercises, and techniques.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document visits per clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with physicians, caregivers, and the care team.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care in home settings.
