Job summary

BrightStar Care Longview is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide one-on-one home health OT services to patients throughout the Longview, Texas area, delivering compassionate, quality care.

You will evaluate function, develop individualized treatment plans, teach safety strategies, and support activities of daily living to promote independence in patients’ homes, coordinating with families and the clinical team to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Texas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
• Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to patients’ homes throughout the service area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, limitations, and needs related to daily living activities.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each patient’s goals and needs.
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
• Assist patients with improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety strategies, exercises, and techniques to promote independence.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Document visits accurately and in accordance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
