Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Van Wert, Ohio team in a part-time role. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a seamless guest experience, handling both clinical tasks and front-desk duties.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, formal MA training, and MA certification or registration where required, plus CPR/BLS. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, and state requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers approved medications and immunizations per provider order.
• Front desk duties, including scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, referrals, and check-in/out.
