Grady Health System is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform advanced breast imaging under Radiologist supervision, delivering high-quality diagnostic images and patient-centered care.

The role requires ARRT licensing with Mammography (ARRT‑M) and BLS certification, with certification in Mammography to be obtained within six months of hire. This position supports flexible coverage in a busy imaging department at Grady in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two-year Radiologic Technology program (CAHEA/AMA approved).
• ARRT Radiology certification.
• BLS certification required; Mammography (ARRT-M) within six months if not already registered.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and breast imaging procedures in line with physician orders and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support interpretation.
• Assist radiologists with image-guided breast procedures.
• Monitor and support patient safety, comfort, and care.
• Perform and document equipment quality control (QC) per protocols and report issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data in systems.
• Apply radiation safety practices, universal precautions, and sterile techniques.
• Support efficient patient flow and departmental operations.
• Provide instruction to radiology and ultrasound students rotating through the modality.
