The Mammography Technologist performs comprehensive breast imaging studies under the direction of a Radiologist, producing high-quality diagnostic images using specialized mammography equipment. In collaboration with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, the technologist supports timely diagnosis and treatment planning while maintaining strict adherence to imaging protocols, radiation safety standards, and quality control procedures.
In this role, the Mammography Technologist provides patient care essential to breast imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout imaging procedures. The technologist must demonstrate strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain efficient workflow within a high-volume imaging environment.
