Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform advanced breast imaging procedures and support accurate diagnostic interpretation. You will work under radiologist direction to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and clear communication.

The role emphasizes high-volume imaging workflow, adherence to imaging protocols, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Two-year Radiologic Technology program approved by CAHEA of the AMA.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required; Mammography (ARRT-M) if not currently registered must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and breast imaging procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support interpretation by radiologists.
• Assist radiologists with image-guided breast procedures as needed.
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and care throughout imaging.
• Perform and document equipment QC according to departmental protocols and report issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data in imaging systems.
• Apply radiation safety practices and sterile techniques to maintain safety.
• Support efficient patient flow and departmental operations.
• Provide instruction to radiology and ultrasound students rotating through imaging.
