Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or STNA certification.
• Must be listed on Ohio Nurse Aide Registry or have STNA certification.
• Valid driver’s license required for transporting residents.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and grooming.
• Transport residents to activities and programs.
• Complete daily, monthly, and other required documentation.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ symptoms or behavior to charge nurse.
• Perform light housekeeping in living areas.
• Apply safety and infection control measures.
• Redirect unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes.
• Assist nursing staff with admission, discharge, and transfers.
