Job summary

The Ohio Department of Veterans Services in Sandusky is currently hiring PRN Licensed Practical Nurses for the Ohio Veterans Home, offering $27.56 per hour with a minimum of 30 hours per month. The LPN will provide direct resident care, administer medications, and document in the Point-Click-Care system while supporting RNs and CNAs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Ability to administer medications including controlled substances.
• Experience in direct resident care and nursing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician orders, assist with exams, treatments and specimen collection.
• Observe and document residents’ condition; report to the medical team.
• Deli ver medications (including controlled substances) and update care plans as needed.
• Provide direct care and support for activities of daily living and daily nursing tasks.
• Attend team meetings and trainings; participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
