Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist for a flexible, per diem role to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver high-quality therapy. You will work with physicians and care teams to restore mobility and improve quality of life for adult and geriatric patients.

The role requires a PT degree, state licensure, and a current BLS certification, with preferred six months to one year of rehab experience. Mercy emphasizes compassionate care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained prior to independently caring for patients).
• Six months to one year of rehabilitation experience; adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs to develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide physical therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Supervise and provide direction to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides/Technicians
• Deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ensure compliance with departmental standards, state practice acts, and Mercy Service Standards
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment
