Job summary

The Rouse Children’s Center, a division of Rouse Estate in Youngsville, PA, seeks a Per Diem Assistant Group Supervisor to support daily activities and supervise staff under supervision. The role emphasizes child safety, confidentiality, and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, reporting incidents, administering medications, and participating in training and events. Per diem scheduling offers flexibility for caring for children and contributing to program

Qualifications

• Must meet standards as set forth in 3270.36 of PA Dept of Public Welfare, Child Day care Centers Manual.
• Must have the ability to teach and guide children.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily activities under supervision and coordinate with the Assistant Group Supervisor team.
• Coordinate daily activities and supervise aides in the absence of the Director and Group Supervisor.
• Ensure confidentiality and protection of children’s rights, dignity, privacy, individuality and self-determination.
• Report any incident/accident involving staff or children to Director or Group Supervisor, including allegations or suspicions of abuse.
• Properly handle, administer and record any medications taken by the children under supervision of Director or Group Supervisor.
• Conduct daily safety checks of indoor/outdoor environment.
• Remain flexible in work schedule as staffing levels fluctuate.
• Assist with Open Houses, holiday programs, preschool graduation and other special programs.
• Participate in paid staff meetings, appropriate in-services, training and continuing education programs.
• Assist Director and Group Supervisors in completing required assessments.
