Job summary

AmeriPharma is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in home infusion therapy to join our team in the Washington, DC area. This role combines in-home care and patient education, supporting treatments such as TPN, IVIG, and IV biologics.

The RN will provide telephone and in-person education, follow clinical guidelines under the Director of Nursing, and collaborate with pharmacy colleagues to ensure safe, effective therapy and adherence.

Qualifications

• RN state license required.
• 2+ years experience in home infusion.
• 2+ years experience with IVIG and IV Biologics; CRNI preferred.
• Experience with peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy (adult & pediatric).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home infusion therapy visits per care plan.
• Prepare nursing notes and document interventions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy departments and other teams.
• Maintain knowledge of drug side effects and interactions.
• Educate patients on therapy protocols, side effects, and home infusion procedures.
• Ensure patient understanding of therapy plans and adherence.
• Serve as liaison between patient, family, and pharmacy.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and initiate preventative care.
• Develop and revise care plans with required services.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress with the team.
