Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Food Service Operations Rep at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves assembling, preparing, serving, and delivering trays and nourishments to patients and other customers on a rotating shift with every other weekend commitment.

Responsibilities include attending to patient requests, collecting trays for transport, assisting in sanitation, and performing related duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; four years of work-related experience is acceptable.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors and other customers or clients.
• Attends to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service requests in a friendly, cheerful, patient-centric manner.
• Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
• Assists in the sanitation of the department including pots, dish room, trash, floors and special cleaning as assigned.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
