Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Part-time Food Service Room Service/Diet Rep at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. This role handles patient meal orders, coordinates diet changes, and updates order systems, with rotating shifts and weekend commitments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong communication skills, including proficiency in basic arithmetic and clerical tasks. Spanish is a plus. Competitive pay ranges with on-site parking available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 4 years of related work experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly by phone, in person or in writing.
• Able to read and write simple to moderate English.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic.
• Proficient with common clerical tools and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process patient meal order requests from patients, family, nurses and staff.
• Coordinate diet orders with meal preferences, tray assembly, delivery and nourishments.
• Update computer, printouts and room services order system as needed.
• Handle patient/family initiated orders and assist those needing help.
• Support Holy Cross Hospital mission and operations.
