Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• One year of Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience preferred.
• Office experience in a healthcare environment; familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD-9 codes.

Responsibilities

• Process patient registrations and workflows accurately and timely.
• Collect patient financial responsibility as determined by insurance.
• Obtain pre-certification and benefits from insurance providers.
• Verify insurance benefits and explain financial requirements to patients or representatives.
• Document account information electronically in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality.
