Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Culver City, CA, to monitor and patrol a technology-focused corporate location. The role offers a driver-required position with a schedule (Tue 2:00 PM - 10:45 PM; Wed 2:00 PM - 10:45 PM) and a pay rate of $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate records of arrivals, departures, and incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, timely activity and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence that helps support a welcoming environment.
