Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Part Time Unarmed in Upper Marlboro, MD. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Criminal history considerations follow applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports and other site documentation accurately and promptly.
