Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Baltimore, MD to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a designated site. This role offers flexible hours, with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $16.50 per hour, with responsibilities including access control, incident response, and ensuring the safety of residents, visitors, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare residential setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, resident concerns, access-related issues, and fire or life-related alarms.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and entry procedures in accordance with site-specific policies; communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking locations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
