Job summary

CSN—Center for Academic Success in North Las Vegas is seeking part-time tutors for FY 2027 to support students through tutoring sessions in person or online. Responsibilities include clarifying learning challenges, strengthening study skills, and reinforcing course material to supplement classroom instruction.

Requirements include at least 12 undergraduate hours with a 3.0 GPA, a B or higher in the tutoring subject, and a faculty recommendation.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have at least 12 undergraduate hours with a 3.0 GPA.
• B or higher in the subject you tutor.
• Demonstrate effective communication with students from varied backgrounds.
• Knowledge of effective study skills and tutoring strategies.
• Prior tutoring in subject matter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to CSN students in person or online.
• Assist students in improving academic achievement and study skills.
• Review material, discuss reading strategies, predict questions, and help with papers.
• Provide support that supplements classroom teaching.
