Job summary

Woodbury YMCA is seeking a Swim Instructor (age 16+) to teach swim lessons and water safety to children and adults. This part-time, on-site role includes paid training and a free YMCA membership, with shifts in the evenings and weekends to fit a flexible schedule.

The position requires being able to work in a pool environment, obtain necessary certifications, and promote member safety and satisfaction in line with YMCA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• CPR + AED for the Professional Rescuer annually, First Aid certification within 120 days of hire.
• Willingness to teach swim lessons and water safety to all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and abilities.
• Maintain constant supervision of students and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Know and communicate pool policies and the YMCA Swim Lessons program.
