Job summary

Burnsville YMCA is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor (age 16+) to teach swim lessons and water safety. The role offers a $16.50/hour pay, flexible hours, paid training, and a free YMCA membership. On-site work with opportunities for additional hours, evenings, and weekends based on program needs.

Responsibilities include teaching multiple ages, supervising students at all times, and applying YMCA policies. Certifications listed above must be completed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years to qualify.
• Complete YMCA certifications listed above prior or within timeframe.
• CPR/AED, First Aid and Oxygen certifications required within 120 days.
• Ability to swim in shallow and deep water and tread water.

Responsibilities

• Provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and abilities.
• Maintain constant supervision and assist swimmers as needed for safety.
• Communicate pool policies and YMCA guidelines consistently.
• Evaluate and place students in appropriate swim levels and progress.
