Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time – Flex at a Waterloo, IA site. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra hours via the Earn More program, designed for reliable part‑time hours and potential progression toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $19.25 per hour. The position emphasizes customer service, patrols, access control, incident response, and detailed reporting within a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Lifting more than 20 lbs preferred.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials; assist with directing authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations calmly while following site protocols.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
