Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials; assist with directing authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations calmly while following site protocols.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time - Flex in Waterloo, IA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with directing authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
