Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Visibility in Reston, VA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and an option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $25.00 per hour with day and night schedules. Qualified candidates may have CPR/First Aid, comfort with tech, and customer service experience, plus the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, laboratories, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and support site access procedures for authorized personnel and deliveries.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
