Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Tour in Herndon, VA. This role offers reliable hours with the option to pick up extra shifts and grow toward a full-time schedule.

The position pays $21.63 per hour and features a fixed shift with potential for additional shifts via the Earn More program. Ideal candidates bring customer service and access control experience and are comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include customer service experience, access control experience preferred, and comfort with computer or tablet usage.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles; high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A background check will be conducted in accordance with laws; drug screen may be required; licensing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a corporate technology‑focused location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office spaces, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns calmly and professionally, following post orders and escalation protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization and maintain logs and reports.
• Communicate with site contacts and leadership about incidents and security matters.
