Job summary

Allied Universal in Georgetown, DE is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver to provide reliable, scheduled hours at a food production site. The role offers part-time hours with the possibility to pick up extra shifts via our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program and a pay rate of $20.34 per hour.

You will handle access control, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support emergency response while maintaining customer service.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and access‑control policies at a food production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including facility entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with emergency response activities, monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
