Job summary

Allied Universal in Georgetown, DE is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Driver) responsible for entry verification, access control, and visitor management at a food and beverage location.

This role offers flexible weekend schedules, emphasis on customer service, and opportunities to use smart tools and claim shifts through our platform; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, with background checks and drug screening as part of employment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as part of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe vehicle, employee, contractor, and vendor traffic at gates and entrances; inspect authorized deliveries and shipments in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
