Job summary

Allied Universal in Kenova, WV is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a fixed site with the option to pick up additional shifts.

You will monitor access points, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and support employees, contractors, and visitors while earning $12 per hour with a six-month anchor schedule and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a chemical and petrochemical location, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor access documentation, and maintain required access records.
• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, escalating unauthorized-entry concerns or credential discrepancies to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and incident-reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
