Job summary

UPMC Community Osteopathic is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Technician for its Resource Pool. This role supports daily patient care activities, including ADLs, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff. 32 hours per week, day shift, every third weekend and one major/one minor holiday per year.

Qualifications include at least 1 year of direct patient care or one nursing clinical semester. The Resource Pool offers a 10% differential, flexible scheduling, and starting pay that varies

Qualifications

• 1 year direct patient care experience required OR 1 nursing school clinical semester completed.
• Performs ADLs and assists with patient procedures.
• Maintains accurate medical records and communicates with RN/healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, feeding, mobility and daily needs.
• Support universal unit activities and respond to call lights in a timely manner.
• Document in the medical record per procedures and report equipment issues.
