Job summary

Hillcrest Health & Living is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join Hillcrest Rehab Services at Hillcrest Firethorn in Lincoln, NE. This flexible part-time/casual role focuses on developing individualized plans to help patients regain independence and confidence in daily activities.

You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide evaluations, plan of care, and evidence-based interventions in a senior living and post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Active Nebraska OT license.
• BLS certification required.
• New graduates welcome; experience in SNF/post-acute settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OT evaluations using standard tests and measures.
• Develop timely, individualized plans of care aligned with patient goals.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve independence in ADLs and functional skills.
• Educate patients and families about plans, safety, and adaptive strategies.
• Document and bill therapy services accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and therapy teams to coordinate care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to therapy assistants within regulatory guidelines.
• Identify patient safety risks and ensure infection-control standards are followed.
