Job summary

First Children Services is seeking a Part Time Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) in Scotch Plains, NJ. The role supports individuals with autism across multiple settings, under supervision, implementing the Individual Support Plan and program goals.

Training phase offers varied clinical experiences and after training you’ll receive a permanent placement. Competitive hourly pay and bonus eligibility accompany a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years working with children
• Comfortable in working with a variety of children and behavioral needs across settings without direct supervisor
• Demonstrate strong competence with ABA principles and interventions
• Perform administrative tasks and care for the environment within assigned clinics
• Competent in using technology for daily documentation
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
• Willingness to accept and implement feedback
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and run during shift

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with client in independent and group settings within the designation region
• Read and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collect session data and submit documentation in a timely manner
• Support healthy communication, social and behavioral skills
• Provide interactive therapeutic support to extinguish or minimize maladaptive behaviors
• Collaborate with the treatment team to increase positive behavioral outcomes
• Complete administrative tasks when billable hours are not available
