United Care ABA-Colorado offers a flexible, student-friendly role for Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to work one-on-one with children with autism in home or community settings. This hands-on experience spans behavioral health, child development, and real-life skill building, with supervision and mentorship from a BCBA.

Qualifications

• Experience with children is not required; a strong interest in behavioral health is encouraged.
• Open to psychology, education, social work, or pre-med majors.
• Commitment to consistent scheduling and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with a child with autism in home or community settings.
• Receive supervision from a BCBA who guides you and builds clinical skills.
• Learn ABA principles and apply behavior analysis to support communication and independence.
• Track progress data to observe behavior and plan next steps.
• Provide de-escalation and regulation strategies for challenging behaviors.
• Help develop executive functioning and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with families and supervisors to ensure consistent sessions.
